This is him. Back in 1980's when he was a kid. The little guy was going through a tough time. They just transferred into a new place, where he didn't know nobody. One day, to stop mopping around, his mom asked a neighbor, Joey to take him somewhere, anywhere just to take the kid out of the house. Joey didn't have a children of his own, so he wasn't exactly what you'd call "kid savvy". Joey isn't the kind that would take you to a circus or a zoo, or a puppet show. But he did know the greatest place to bring any kid. The Mecca of entertainment. Araneta Coliseum.
Joey taught the boy what he know about the event (NCAA Opening) and the game (SBC v PHCR). Well, Wendell Senerpida hit some 3's. San Beda won, and by day's end, poor June had become one of God's most pathetic creatures : A Red Lions fan. And that's where the story begins.
To Be Continued . . .
